Martin Paquette, President of Groupe Nordik and owner of North America’s largest spa, and Sean McAdam, President of Landlab Inc., the developer behind Canada’s innovative Hendrick Farm community have joined forces to create the Hendrick Farm village – a natural extension to Old Chelsea, just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa. The jointly held Hendrick Farm Village Partnership will see more than $100 million invested to create approximately 150 residential, retail, and restaurant facilities to augment Old Chelsea village’s rapidly growing core.

Old Chelsea has a long history of commerce dating back to 1802. Originally a centre for the region’s earliest commercial logging activity, the village quickly became a recreational hub for Ottawa and has served as a gathering place for cottagers, skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts for more than 100 years. The demand for a variety of housing options, as well as an expansion of mixed-use commercial activities, has grown exponentially over the past several years. The Partnership’s village design will see the introduction of a variety of rental accommodations alongside restaurants, retail spaces for small businesses, office and professional space, as well as new community gathering places. Carefully designed for walkability, the village centre will offer residents and visitors alike a broad, vibrant, and social place to gather, shop, and enjoy this beautiful historic setting.

The Partnership expects construction to start next spring with the first rental accommodations available by Fall 2021.

We are currently seeking interested tenants to sign letters of intent for 2-bedroom units at 140 and 144 chemin Ladyfield. Should one of these units be of interest, we will be requesting signed Letters of Intent in order to give you first access when these rentals become available for lease. The Letters of Intent are non-binding and will be sent out on a first come, first served basis. When it comes time to sign leases we will be offering them to those who have signed Letters of Intent, in the order in which we received the signed letters.
