Join us for a volunteer day at Hendrick Farm! This is your chance to find yourself in a beautiful setting, get a little (or a lot of) dirt under those fingernails, and be involved with your local organic farm. It’s harvest time for our beautiful garlic! Come join us as we harvest, clean, and dry our garlic so that it will last for months. You’ll learn about the different varieties we grow and how to maintain them. Harvesting garlic is a tough but rewarding task, so we hope to see you there!
WHAT TO BRING
- You’re going to get dirty, so don’t wear anything you would be scared to stain!
- Boots or work boots are an asset
- Gardening gloves
- A hat and sunscreen (that sun can get hot!)
- Water bottle
WHERE TO MEET
You can park in the gravel parking lot in front of the old barn at 193 chemin Ladyfield. We ask that you then follow the path to the right of the barn (running between the farm and the barn) and meet the other volunteers and farm team at the harvest station.
COST
Registration is FREE! But we ask that you do register.
NOTE: In order to ensure an authentic experience for everyone, we ask that children under the age of 12 be accompanied by an adult (both must register).

Joignez-vous à nous pour une journée de bénévolat à la ferme Hendrick! Voici votre chance de vous retrouver dans un décor magnifique, de mettre la main à la pâte (en vous salissant un peu) et de vous impliquer dans votre ferme biologique locale. C’est le temps des récoltes de notre ail magnifique! Joignez-vous à nous pour récolter, nettoyer et faire sécher notre ail afin qu’il dure pendant des mois. Vous en apprendrez plus sur les différentes variétés que nous cultivons et sur comment les cultiver vous-mêmes. La récolte de l’ail est une tâche difficile mais enrichissante. Nous espérons donc vous y voir!
- Vous allez vous salir, alors ne portez rien que vous avez peur de tacher!
- Des bottes régulières ou des bottes de travail sont un atout
- Gants de jardinage
- Un chapeau et de la crème solaire (le soleil risque d’être au rendez-vous!)
- Bouteille d’eau
REMARQUE : Afin d’offrir une expérience authentique à tous, nous exigeons que les enfants de moins de 12 ans soient accompagnés par un adulte (tous deux doivent s’inscrire).
